Can We Get a Pause Download Feature?

Just wanted to ask politely if we can get a "pause download" button like how Steam and other launchers have? It makes a world of difference to be able to pause an update download and be able to continue it later rather than having to either start all over again or leave your computer running all day while you're off at work.

You can just quit the launcher, it doesn't re download everything again (just file validation, which shouldn't take more than a few minutes).
Still, a pause feature would be nice.

So will the download continue from where it last left off if I close the launcher, shut down computer and then try to continue it tomorrow?

Yes. It will start at 0% but just validates the files until the point where you stopped downloading (takes a few seconds-minutes).
Cool, thanks for the info :)

A pause button would still be desirable though FD. Much more user friendly, and as an added bonus it keeps the users more friendly ;)

If you quit the download, it will resume, but at the end it's likely that you will encounter errors and have to dig into your game folder and search and destroy files ending in *.part and *.progress before you get a playable game.

Or you just verify the files through the "Options" menu in the launcher.

Thank you for putting the fear of THAT lil' gem into my soul

Oh boy. By the looks of it I don't think the download will be finished today - says "3 days" and the download rate is "0.04 MB/s" - which is crazy considering I just finished downloading The Witcher 3 the last 2 days via Steam in all it's 35Gb glory and all it took was somewhere around 8 to 9 hours altogether.

Bookmarking this thread for if I have to return for some troubleshooting help with re-initiating the ED download. Pause feature, FD. Please with cherries on top.
