Guess I didn't really pay attention with all the chatter about the Panther Clipper release. I've seen mentions a few times about the Type-11, but I thought it was the Panther.

You know, a dredger module for ships would be pretty cool. All the debris left over at shipwrecks could be sucked in and salvaged for materials and commodities, in a manner very similar to mining. Of course, if you accidentally suck in an escape pod, that's a real big whoopsie and a murder charge.
I like that idea. Combine it with Limpet magic and good radar on the wreckage field, collecting lifepods first then scooping up wreckage could be a decent game loop similar to mining.
Salvaing should definitely be done "on foot" by EVA, with the size of what you can take depending on the size of the gargo scoop.
