Yep, that's the free PAX South paint job, unfortunately only for the Eagle.

Most of the block colour paints are underwhelming I agree but at least the FDL has paint jobs. And it's going to be getting another new one with 2.2:

Spare a thought for the ships that still have none. The poor FAS in particular just sits there wondering, "I have nearly the same dimensions as my sister the FDS who is blessed with a variety of skins and yet I have no paintjobs to call my own."

Wouldn't mind more two-tone or three-tone paints for just about every ship, like the Cobra Rattler for an Anaconda or the Viper Ridgenose for an FDL.
On the other hand, I'm impatiently awaiting the new Vulture and Python Kits that were shown.

FDL has 3 paint packs and something like 15 skins to choose from.
FAS, Corvette, and Cutter are all in much greater need of paintjobs than a ship that already has 3 paintpacks.

The Black Friday paint job looks well on the FDL as well as the stock red & white one. I have the gold but I haven't spent much time in the FDL lately to decided on that one. The Black Friday paint job is the best one in the game and the imperial ships look very well with it especially the Cutter. It really was a great giveaway from FD and I doubt we'll see anything as good in the future. It's a pity it doesn't apply to the SRV, hopefully we can use it on the fighters.

Thats too bad, but the FDL already received some paintjob love. Time to show it to the big ships. Every day there are more Corvettes and Cutters being flown. We need paintjobs.

Hardly anyone flies those. Make paintjobs for ships that people fly, not obscure ships that are ignored by the majority of players.
