Can we have a toggle for the Mining Laser please?

As it says in the thread title. When mining I sit there for ages with my finger on the trigger, which is fine for a couple of asteroids, but after an hour or so I get achey finger.

My current solution is an elastic band, which is a real faff if you get jumped by pirates.

So, Trigger - laser on / trigger - laser off option please!

Have you tried Voice Attack?
Or, assign a keyboard command, and leave a small weight on it. A marble or something usually works well.

Unfortunately (well sort of) I'm an Xbone player so just a 12 button controller.....

There a few work around. Macros like Voice Attack or a Logitech G13 which also has Macros. You can setup buttons to shoot for so long.

Just prop the controller against something. Lol

I use an Xbox 360 controller on my PC.

It is unfortunate you use an Xbone!

I use a Thrustmaster Warthog Hotas. The red button on the stick is my secondary fire button.
Plus: the grey toggle switch on my throttle is assigned to secondary too. I just flick the button for mining.

On other weapon groups the secondary is assigned for D-scanner or Killwarrant Scanner. Flicking the switch makes that easy too. Honestly, I nearly never use the red button on the stick.
