There have been several occasions where I have found out about an activity taking place in game, but have been away from the house or otherwise pre-occupied. When I get home it takes up to an hour to ship modules and equipment around before I can even start doing the things I want to do. It would be nice if I could log in, and remotely push one or more of my ships and modules to the area where an activity is taking place in advance. I've missed several activities because the logistics around them was too complicated, time consuming, or expensive. Others I've tried to make, only to miss the activity by ten or fifteen minutes waiting for my ship to arrive.
It would be easier to have fun if we could remotely manage some assets, and the API would be a good foundation into which other management features could be added later on.
