I spent the last 3 months cultivating the Bird Meta-Wishlist and I hate to say it, but I think I'm throwing in the towel.
If by DLC Number 14 - and with the existence of flighted animals - Frontier's position will be explicitly clear: They are either unable or unwilling to include flying birds.

Or saving them for the sequel, which imo is what they are doing.
Bruh you're throwing your towel after 3 months? Do you remember how long we waited for certain inclusions?
I mean I'm not saying we're definitely getting them, but if they have a plan of adding them there's no time limit to it.
I think it would be very unwise to save the bird for PZ2
That would be somewhat frustrating, that could be years down the line. Also with the amount of money I put in this game I would rather not have to pay for a sequel to get what I want. I still have hope they are being saved for a DLC, why would they make walkthroughs if not for the #1 animal that uses them? Honestly if Frontier just does what they did in the Zoo Tycoon game for the XBOX I would be fine. I just want them in game, I don’t even care how at this point.
Have faith! We still don’t know what the next 4 animals are, as well as the next two DLC this year. If I had to guess making birds out of sand is very difficult. But I agree this is getting 100% ridiculous.
Yeah we dont know what the other 4 animals are but its either: No bird or 2 exhibit animals.
To be fair we have been waiting for birds from pretty much the beggining so i don't think it compares to something like the red deer or the maned wolf. They are not even giving us any other habitat bird (at this point i'll take any bird).
Maybe they will surprise us with and Exhibit AND Walkthrough Exhibit in the upcoming DLC and the walkthrough will have Budgerigar and Rainbow Lorikeets. I know I'm dreaming but it would fit the desert drylands theme and it is pride month so we could use more rainbow.

That could be the reason. Personally I would find it cooler If they would make something like Planet Zoo Second Generation with the actual game bringing new Big mechanics Like flying rather than a PZ 2. I mean a really big Update which incluses Facelifting of Base Game animals. Surely for a price, perhaps 30-40 Euro. I do not know. Starting from a new Base Level would be Kind of Strange in my opinion after all we got now. But I do Not know If that is technically possible and potentially a PZ2 a few years after PZ1 would be Marketing wise a better Option for Frontier especially recruiting new Players.
Guys, I have a new thought, maybe we will get birds in the fall, but just one/two and not a flock, my prediction for the fall DLC is that it will be ocean/water related, maybe coast park，my list is:
- sea otter
- walrus
- bald eagle
- pelican
