General Gameplay Can we please have access to the day/night cycle during the campaign?

The only info I've found is that it is locked behind achieving a 5 star rating? It seems odd to me that such a beautiful feature is locked at all.

I agree. But it seems like Frontier wanted the different islands to have a different feel and they used the lighting to do that.
Personally it took me a while to get the hang of getting five stars on all the islands. I think that this feature is perhaps locked behind something that's too hard to unlock for newer players. Maybe it should be available from the start or unlocked at a lower island rating. Perhaps 3 or 4 stars.

Thanks for the response LordTrilobite. I have found that in challenge mode the cycle can be activated in the options screen from the very start so that is a plus! Merry Christmas and happy holidays everybody

To this I say NO. Why? Because in real life we cannot change the time of day. A dynamic day-night cycle was all we needed regarding that aspect.

In Sandbox, however, this feature was a MUST, hence it was eventually added.
