FD had early access for the backers of both Elite Dangerous as well as Planet Coaster, and neither of those games burned their backers. Yes Elite Dangerous might not be progressing as fast as people would have liked, but the early access period and subsequent launch delivered on everything that was promised... I have faith in FD, so I will buy into early access the moment it happens. Any other company I don't know, not so much (been burned with early access on a few occasions)... Also, the Life Time Holder Pass is for the entire game's life is it not? Elite is going to go on for a loooong time, and I can bet you several features such as space legs are not going to be added for free for us non-lifetime backers...
