Can we STOP stunting VIVE discussion with the one thread nonsense?

Can we STOP stunting VIVE discussion with the one thread nonsense? every time valid points are lost as the thread is killed by being closed,
Easy fix its time for VIVE sub forum now thats its landing in people's hands, otherwise are you saying this is a Oculus only forum? Theres even room for the home brew VR stuff which is cool,
The VIVE isnt a Pipe dream anymore its REAL...

just work around the moderators, they only want to show off their status anyway

whilst i kind of agree with the OP - merge threads of a similar topic sure, such as vive is better than.... or vive reviews etc, - but not everything mentioning the vive

but this comment ranix is utter . The mods here do a decent job and is not something I could do. (remember unpaid volunteers)

Not having a go at the mods here, ye's do a stirling job of keeping everything in order, but it does seem to me that lumping anything into one thread like the OP has underlined with regards to the Vive in this instance hinders forumites engagement in the topic, as new ideas are swallowed up and lost in a monster thread (which l consider to be anything over 50 pages long) and puts me off any kind of quick casual reading.
A sub forum seems a better idea in my opinion.

if we had a vote (and i know we dont) I would split this forum into 2.

ED VR discussion
and
then one in OT which is just VR chit chat.
of course mods would still merge threads of the same topic

I do not think we need sub forums for every HMD out there, after all, many of us are interested in both.....

Aye,seems fair and a better idea.

I'd like to apologize to the mods for being rude, I wanted to see if they would delete my post or not. They did not.

I would love to see a subforum for actual factual VR "experiences" for people to post stories and reviews of their hardware. No "hypotheticals", no "questions", just straight up "this is what it's like". Seeing those threads closed/stuffed into giant useless piles makes me sad.

As a fence sitter regarding the whole VR thing, the rest is just noise to me right now. :)

I agree. If they are going to apply that logic to the Vive then why do we have so many Riff cv1 threads. It looks like a double standard.

What's going on? One can't start threads because they want some kind of one-thread-per-vr system? boo.

I was coming here to read/ask about Vive support status...
