The Pope has issued notice that everyone in Rich countries should stop gluttony not give up material good and undertake charity - so essentially become Buddhist.
While sitting in his gold filled palace.
If we all did that that western economies would collapse affecting the other nations that actually manufacture the good we consume.
Also try telling that to a woman.. who probably the main motivation why man earns money.. Money and power.

Every single purchase I received over christmas I can demonstrate a notional ROI.
Its how it has always been . in 84 my ELECTRON was bought because there were no games so I would have to program it. Elite was pitched as educational software.
Looking at the local priest. I donbt thin khe staving regardless what he say about church finances.
We have had Austerity for 8 years and that has just made it worse.
So do people not trade slaves in game on principle?
