Don't know what you found....
In case someone else would ask the same, one solution is to go in the Modules page and deactivate the module.
If you don't want to use it anymore at all, once landed at a spaceport with outfitting service, you can store or sell the autodock module.

I wish you could use a button! That zero throttle option nearly cost me a ship when I tried to fast dock myself, 240 outside the toast rack and then hit the brakes and the Autopilot cut in, made a mess all over the console! Then hit the station!

Real Imperial men park in reverse:

Joke aside, zero throttle acts like a button.

1. Boost towards the station.
2. While nearing the cattle grill, lower your landing gear.
3. Lower your speed when you enter the cattle grill.
4. Right after you enter the station, zero your throttle.

It works like a charm for me. Even when smuggling, I don't bother with silent running and just use the procedure I described. I was never scanned.
