can we unload the SRV without having to get back into the ship?

(actually 2 questions)

1. can we unload the SRV without having to board the ship - you know - like before??

2. is there some setting to drive the SRV without it getting all jiggy?? - you know - like before??

When were we able to do that? I like the idea and even thought that today as I boarded to disembark. But I never saw that before.

Just use the right-hand panel inventory tab transfer button - you know - like before??
(Since 3.7 we had 2 options for this, either in the role panel or in the right-hand panel, in Odyssey, it's now only the right-hand panel.)

/me also always used the role panel instance (and never knew it could be done from the inventory tab before even before Odyssey)...

I would most certainly not complain, were there more than a few fewer steps of UI traversal, to get to "transfer all to ship".

I assumed from the OP that they wanted to be able to request the SRV be unloaded from the ship (deployed) while on foot, which would be a nice QoL addition.

Transferring cargo from SRV to ship (or vice versa) via the cargo transfer option in the right HuD Inventory tab is a logical step, it is only that it has changed from the crotch panel that's initially confusing. The cargo transfer option was only added with Carriers last year & it's good to see it have more use now, I bought a carrier relatively recently (not long before the Odd Launch) and completely overlooked it as I hadn't used it before. The way it is now new players will see an internal consistency when transferring items between vehicles (and suits).

I would be excellent to be able to load/unload the SRV from feet. Not even got anything smart of pithy to say about it, or a gif of a cat - I just think it's a good idea.
