Can you cook a thargoid?

for those with more time than I...

I have a quandary

Red / annoyed thargoids will follow you indefinitely from any NHSS, you can also get NHSS to spawn extremely close to the main stars.... You can also craft heat syncs and create a cool running fast ship (faster than thargoid ship just to stay a few KM ahead) with engineering... Anyone know where im going with this?

well... if you flew toward the star (yes it would take a while - few hrs) but would the thargoid cook and could we have fried thargoid for tea while you pop heat syncs / or have such a popsicle cool ship that wont overheat before the thargoid does.

Like a moth to a flame, im curious what would happen but unfortunately I don't have the time for extended play sessions to lore a thargoid into a star :)

As soon as I read the thread title, I though "chocolate covered grasshopper".

Sadly, I've not seen chocolate listed in any markets.

It may be faster to use many ships with engineered heat weapons to see if they take heat damage.

Personally I suspect they do not take heat damage although it's possible they do if they were built from the same ship-code framework as the NPC ships in game and adapted. If they are entirely new then I doubt heat is a value in the database.

Thargoids are native to an ammonia-based environment much colder than Earth. To "cook" one, you only need to bring it up to Earth-normal room temperature.

Given their vulnerability to high temperatures (compared to humans) and assuming their ships need to get just as close to stars as ours do to scoop fuel, and given their overall technological superiority, I would expect their ships to be much better than ours at dealing with heat.
