Can you flip prison systems?

Figured out the hard way that planetary installations now have station weapons. They had the gall to detain me. Can I keep murdering cops until the point where the prison system I was sent to flips to anarchy or is this GTA rules and they have infinite cops.

Ah, so if not I'd have to start at a neighboring system and get one to expand into there. I'll check up on it and make sure. Thanks for the info.

Detention centres can't be flipped - they have only a single faction present, can't be expanded into, and the faction which is present is a non-influence faction so even if you somehow managed to bug another faction in, you couldn't do anything with it.

Prison Colony systems are just another government type and can be flipped as normal.

Ah, they're two different things. Thanks man. That's a bummer, can't even get catharsis now. I mean I guess I could sit outside the no fire zone and snipe the patrols with dumbfires or long range railguns or something but there's just no catharsis in that y'know? Oh well.

You can flip "Prison Colony" economies, but you can't flip the ships you get sent to when you die as detention.

Check the below, these are the "Detention" factions. They all own, occupy and control the same number of systems and facilities (one facility in every system).

If you could, someone would have done it. But I believe these systems are "BGS-Immune". If you look at the individual systems, they all (of the ones I checked anyway) only have one of these factions in them.
