Can you follow a player or NPC into JumpDrive?

Currently, no, there isn't, there doesn;t seem to be a difference in animation between entering SC (warp drive) and jumping (Tearing a whole in space).
But I do remember plans that said you'd be able to in the released version.

Yes this was confirmed by David, in a video (dev diary) on the kickstarter, in response to a question, that I had asked on this subject. so patience
