Can you "gift" the game via the Frontier store???

Is there a way to buy the game, or specifically, an upgrade to Alpha to another person, via the Frontier store?
I know it can be done via Steam, but I want to do it now.

On the Frontier Store you can see a 'This is a gift' checkbox But I've never tried it.

Iv wondered this myself, personally I think physical copies work better as gifts but Im not sure there will be one

Planet Coaster does not.

Frontier has lost out on three gift purchases so far. [mad]

[edit]Oh, you just can't gift the Upgrade only. You can gift the full game/alpha.

That sort of makes sense.. after all, you might be aware that the person(s) you want to gift it to have already bought the game... BUT others might not, and as such can create a big headache processing returns and refunds and such for people who bought a gift for someone who either already had the Alpha, or who haven't purchased the game yet...

On that same token, I just went ahead and gifted the whole game/alpha, so they may have to deal with a return anyway.

It's just a shame you can't gift the upgrade. Like I said, I've wanted to do it several times now. [yesnod]
