Can you mine Rocky Rings?

If so what do you find there?

I though you could only mine Metal Rich and Metallic

but this system has RES in a Rocky Ring

You can mine them yes, although most people mine metal rich or metallic for the better minerals.

I cant remember exactly which types you will find in a rocky ring, but it will yield the lower end minerals that wont pay too great.

And you will still get RES''s there as you have seen already.

Yuo can actually jump out and mine anywhere in a ring, it doesnt have to be a RES.

Yeah I know you dont have to mine at RES points, I was just confused on if you were able to mine rocky one.
I was in the system to pick up Agri-medicines and only was looking at the system map to see what else was i the system, as there was a Ammonia based world I was being nosey about.

Someone once posted an empirical results on what kind of stuff can be (commonly) found in which rings. Rocky rings give the stuff of lesset value and metallic gives the good stuff. Metal rich rings/belts gives the middle class minerals and occasionally ones from higher and lower categories.
