Can you mix and match ship kits?

I dunno about anyone else, but I'm now really curious to see what this looks like :D

Hideous. And if OP meant two different packs in the same slot (how I read it), no, you can't. You can however have say, a raider front bumper and ricer spoiler.

This is only my personal opinion, but I'm not a fan of mix/match kits. I'm very particular, though.

Just the opposite, I actually think that mixing kits on the Asp Explorer makes it look more.. natural.

Like, just the right amount of raider parts to make her look well traveled, not like death-machine from Mad Max.

It may well look horrid! - Can I try before I buy somehow?

I have the Cobra and Anaconda both basic and raider. I can try mix and match and get some screenshots. Any particular things you want me to try?

Also if you own 1 kit and want to just check the other you can use the store preview, however, only 1 part at a time.

I'd love to see some in game examples of this.

It's also interesting to know that you'll be able to mix and match if additional future ship kits come out for the same ships.

The raider parts on the regular paint jobs looks pretty good but the regular kit parts on the raider paints look pretty bad -- the colours don't match very well in some cases.

Ok, here we go:

Cobra, Corroded skin, normal spoiler and bumper, raider wings and tail. Colours for corroded skin not really aligned well.

Cobra, Medusa skin, normal tail and bumper, raider wings and spoiler. Normal skins don't really match raider kit.

Anaconda, Corroded skin, raider spoiler and bumper, normal wings and tail. Seems to work much better than cobra, possibly choice of corroded skin was better.

From what I see the skin matters most to fit with the ship kit. Mileage and taste may vary though. :p Personally I don't feel they fit together, I tried different raider bits on the Conda Expo skin and didn't really like any of them. Dealers choice though :)

Thank you for putting that together - Option 3 is kinda what I'm looking for, my Exp Conda is looking very weathered and I thought the raider parts may improve the look. eg. I had to strap on a makeshift tea canister to hold extra fuel or cover a dent on it's 300,000 ly trip. I was a bit disappointed when she blew up when that planet hit me in worlds collide. I lost all the weathering as the Re-Buy gives you fresh paint, which is logical but I like the worn look. My hope is that it will all match after weathering.

+1 for taking time to put them together :)
