Can you name your ship with the x-box one version of the game?

Hi, I'd just like to know if you can give your own ship a name? I've heard you can with the PC version but I'm not sure if you can with the X-box version or not:S If you can, how please?

Unless something has changed recently, you cannot name your ship (on any platform) - this causes some of us great pain!

people name there ships in their minds and when talking about on pc but u cant in-game name them

i have named mine ship 1 and ship 2 in my head easier to remember than viper and adder

Hah. People say "Name your ship" but really it's just what they call it themselves. There's no current way to name a ship. The old Elite II game had registration numbers displayed on every ship which was really cool 20 years ago. Something like that, with customisation for Cr/real money, would be a nice addition to ED (IMO).
