Can you sell exploration data that you "buy"?

If I buy "exploration data" from the galaxy map, in theory can I travel 20+ LY from that location, and sell that data at a higher price?

How is the data you buy from the galaxy map different from the data you could gather by manually scanning planets/bodies in systems?

UC pay for the latest data on a given system so if you scan a system they pay for updated data. If you buy it from them it's not updated data just stuff they already have.
