Can you sell your ship?

Just as the title say I am wondering if you are/will be able to sell your ship. Right now I am in a Hauler and slowly earning credits. I wanna earn enough so I can equip a sidewinder for combat and have a decent insurance. But I don't wanna just crash my hauler in order to get back in sidewinder. I wanna be able to sell it and then buy a sidewinder and pimp it out.

You can have only one ship for now, however when you sell your ship its price except for the depreciation are returned to you.

When you buy another ship, you automatically get 90% of the buy-value of your current ship back, also the value of the weapons, equipment and the cargo.

What happened when you bought your Hauler?

Do you still have the Sidewinder?
