Newcomer / Intro can you switch/pilot from the other seats in solo play?

Is it possible to play from the other seats? I liked the copilot view in several ships.. immersion x1000 :O

Unfortunately, no. Moving the holographic HUD and active controls from one position to another doesn't seem like an impossible feature for a 34th century space ship but in the Elite universe no-one has thought of it.

Holograms, man. Light do be very heavy. Expensive to move around.
