Yeah, I get it, but it makes no real sense. It should give you an option to transfer ship and cargo at an additional surcharge. It would make senseCargo gets discarded. If you want to keep it, you need to go fetch the ship in its current location.
It certainly doesn't sound unreasonable but I think the problem is that it would allow you to subvert some gameplay mechanics.Yeah, I get it, but it makes no real sense. It should give you an option to transfer ship and cargo at an additional surcharge. It would make sense
Cargo gets discarded.
Yeah I'd rather not lol.As with all recent suggestion threads, you can always look through the last few times it was discussed if you want to see how the thread will go
Can't store ship with cargo
So, while playing Odyssey, I used a long range shuttle to travel to my home station. But, I didn't know that I had cargo aboard by 'vette. So, 50Ly away, i had to call in my ship, or go back to it, to be able to take out another ship, from this different station. Now I´m wasting money calling it...forums.frontier.co.uk
Pretty sure I remember getting a prompt claiming cargo would get discarded if I moved the ship (think I went out in an Apex or something and had an AX ship loaded with limpets that I wanted moved closer to a Thargoid zone near a Titan). Would have to double check though, it's been... maybe a year, if not longer, since I encountered that situation.Does it? I thought they just wouldn't let you move the ship at all. I distinctly remember being annoyed that I couldn't at least dump the cargo remotely and then move the ship.
I ended up in this situation yesterday by sheer coincidence. It gives you the option to discard the cargo. In this case it was just some limpets.Pretty sure I remember getting a prompt claiming cargo would get discarded if I moved the ship (think I went out in an Apex or something and had an AX ship loaded with limpets that I wanted moved closer to a Thargoid zone near a Titan). Nevermind Powerplay hauling. "See, we all play 100% in Open (transfers 40 shieldless Type 9-s filled with PP cargo)!"Ah yes, risk free cargo transfer to CG stations.
It can make sense if you consider that the transfer is not a teleportation, but rather someone else piloting your ship to destination.Yeah, I get it, but it makes no real sense. It should give you an option to transfer ship and cargo at an additional surcharge. It would make sense
