'Lo folks!
If there is one thing I think all of us can agree on, it's the high quality of ED's soundscape - it is wonderful. From the eerie whispering of Witchspace to the terrifying crackle of a canopy cracking, ED's sound is fantastic.
One place where the sound could be improved a bit is in the sounds of a couple of weapons - namely the Cannons and the Frag Cannons. I've recently started playing with them, and while the weapons themselves are excellent (nothing beats watching a pirate fly into range of a Corvette's full suite of G5 frags and returning to the dust from whence he came
) they don't sound too authoritative. It's just a wee bit disconcerting to see a pirate Anaconda ripped apart to the gentle strains of 'Puh' and 'Phut!'
C'mon, where's the BOOM? The CRAAAACK! of the frag's gigantic shotguns? Cannons and frags should not sound like Furby having a pillowfight with Elmo!
Ahem.
Whatcha think, folks?
Cheers!
