Newcomer / Intro Cannot buy Horizons! Please help.

I decided to give ED another go after leaving years ago (original beta etc). It is proving to be incredibly frustrating.

I have the original game downloaded and installed from the frontier store, and it runs. That part is OK.
However from reading the forums I really need Horizons and that is where the trouble begins.

I found (and its really not easy) the frontier page that allowed me to add Horizons to my cart without not sending me to a Steam download link.
I added it and then try to buy it. Under card details I just have a radio button with 'new card' I pick this and click next and I go to the step 3. page but at no point do I get anywhere to add a new card. I also don't see anywhere under the account settings to do this either. Trying to complete the purchase just fails as I have no card associated.

The alternative to to try to get it through steam. I don't have the original game linked and it was never purchased through it so if I add Horizons to my cart it wont complete the transaction as Steam thinks I don't own ED.

I tried linking the steam 3rd party game option, I linked the launcher which will launch the game but not recognize I actually own it when buying Horizons.

So I'm stuffed unless one of you guys can tell me how to get round this.

I must say the the whole process of this is really not a good user experience for a returning commander.

Not had this issue (and I have bought lots via the store) - however I know that the site is sensitive to ad-blockers and script-blockers so make sure they are disabled for the site. (Maybe even try a different browser.)

You can raise a support ticket - they are pretty hot at dealing with store issues quickly.

I just checked in the store - selecting horizons and getting to the payment info as in your image, on clicking "continue" I got this:



So it is working.

I get that screen to Para, but because I can't link a card it fails with the error at the top of the screenshot.

You have a prompt to accept cookies on the top of the screen that you haven't accepted. Also like Para said, make sure you don't have any VPN active or any kind of adblocker. For example Opera and Firefox can have one automatically on, depending on the version.
It could also be your credit card? Maybe you haven't approved it for international payments. Although I guess you've bought the original game the same way so that shouldn't be it.

OK - I didn't buy another Horizons but instead I bought a DLC pack for Planet Coaster (fun game btw) - clicking on the "Place Order" I got taken to this screen:

(I have masked-out the order references.)

I then clicked on PayPal and it went through seamlessly.

So that seems to be the "new card" selection image / page and I wonder if your issue is in the failure of a script either for Frontier or "Worldpay".
