Cannot claim second system

I have completed the Coriolis starport at my first claimed system. After the sever tick it is all up and running.

But I cannot claim a second system a few ly away and I get the message claim unsuccessful.

Is there something I need to do in the first system before I can claim another one, or is there a problem that is preventing the second system from being claimed that FDev need to look at?

Come on team, 65 people have read this but no one has replied.

There must be someone out there who has claimed a second system after completing the primary port on the first.

Could you claim the second system immediately?
Did you have to wait? If so how may days?
Did you start building something else in the first system before claiming the second?

Someone throw me a bone here!

• A temporary system has been introduced relating to "System Claim Unsuccessful" errors - after one such unsuccessful claim, the system will be marked as invalid and no further claim attempts will be permitted.
  • This is a known issue which is caused by the game being unable to locate a suitable position for the initial starport, which can occur for many different reasons. Repeated claim attempts by any player on an affected system will never result in success.
  • As these positional issues are resolved, affected systems will be removed from the invalid list and will once again be claimable.

There is a few notes in the staff/developer posts section mentioning when a system claim is unsuccessful. It might have to do with the server not knowing where to place the primary port. Also something about locking the system out so it cant be claimed multiple times. Idk its been days since i read it and i haven't played trailblazer content yet. But check it out it may shed some light on your situation.

I saw that but the system map has a planet labelled as the primary port ready to go when you claim the system.

So from this one might "assume" that it knows where to put the primary port, given it has marked it on the system map, so finding a "suitable location" for the primary port would not be a problem as it has apparently found one.

However I have already had fun and games with the software lying to me in the last few days so I do feel wary of making such a rash assumption as above!

If it is affected by the error above, the system has not been marked as invalid on the galaxy map, which would be kind of helpful, so I guess I'll just keep trying until it finally works.

I thought it was a restriction; you can only have one initial port under construction per colonization contract. Firend got the same error when trying to claim and 2nd
from the same contact, but I was able to claim the system from the same contact.

Thinking about not sure he had placed a beacon on the first claim before trying to do a 2nd

Had no issues, but I waited a week or so. Might be with the issuer elated to the server tick and too many new stations.

Actually I'd just about got the carrier loaded up when the pause happened so I only made my first claim about a week ago. My first station is of course called "Coriolis station in red shirt"

I have tried flying all over the bubble to claim a second system but it just doesn't work.

A lot of the remaining systems in the bubble that are surrounded by colonies are only available because the claim cannot place the port for whatever reason. If it does not work go to a different system that one is invalid under the current rules. Clicking claim more will not fix it

So I have spent a couple of hours flying around the edge of the bubble (different zones) where there is a station to land at and start the system colonization process and each time I click on a green system it asks me to configure the primary port which unlike when I created my first claim I was asked to pay the 25M, launch the beacon etc, then create the primary port.
