Hardware & Technical Cannot get past spinning ship in loading screen

Hi folks,

I've not been able to get into the game for a number of weeks now and I'm not really sure what to do. I've performed full clean installs and still no luck.
The game is up to date (latest upgrades) and my system is more than capable of running the game, as I've had this game since release.
I click on PLAY and it all seems well until I click on either OPEN of SOLO. The spinning ship appears and thats the only thing that happens.
I checked with Task Manager and the game is still running and hasn't stopped responding. At first I thought it might be a connection issue at my end but all
other online games work great.

Is it possible that the game is waiting for something and is just waiting or held up?

Hope someone can give any advice. Many thanks for reading.

I'm pretty sure this is an issue for the Elite Dangerous Support.

They will ask you to supply a couple of files, which they will advise on how to collect.

The worst part of the process is actually wading past the suggestions to the new Ticket section.

Can you get back and say what they say? Might be interesting.

I'm having the same problem. Haven't been able to play the game for over a month. It will load the training scenarios, but not my python. I think the last time I saved it in a RES.

Just tried the Arena and it wouldn't find any players to team me with. Maybe the connection has something to do with it?

I had a similar problem caused by:
My pc ssd died so I started with new w10 and installed elite but it gets stuck at the ship spinning part. I've tried in open, solo and training. I then tried installing to another drive, plus installing through steam but it doesn't work on any version.

It runs fine on a new machine.

Edit - problem solved . It was caused due to nvidia's latest driver 368.81. I replaced it with 368.69 and Elite's working on both pc's .

New pc - w10 64bit, 32gb DDR4 RAM, 500gb m2ssd, Intel i7 6850k, msi 1080 Seahawk.
(This can use 368.81)
Old pc - w10 64bit, 32gb DDR3 RAM, 240gb ssd, AMD FX-9590, 2x EVGA 780 ti sc.
(This has to use 368.69)
