Cannot Partial complete wing mission.

Hey guys

So this may have been asked before, did a search and couldn't really find any threads pertaining my problem immediately so I figured i'd post one myself,

I accepted a wing mission, hauling goods from A to B, however I misjudged my timeframe a bit meaning I had to cut the mission short, I noticed there was a 50% threshold which I attained yet for some reason I'm not able to Partially Complete the mission. the button is completely greyed out, even though I believe I'm meeting the criteria for it.

Is there something I'm missing here?


Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Hiya, i haven’t done any hauling since the update but as far as i know you have to deliver all cargo to complete. It may be different now, hopefully someone else can give you a definitive answer.

What do you mean by "misjudged my timeframe a bit meaning I had to cut the mission short"? Are you still within the mission timer? Else it should be "Failed" anyway even if you already brought 99% of the cargo.

I have to ask, did you ever do a cargo transport mission, wing or otherwise, before? You can deliver the load in parts in as many runs as you like, but you need to manually load the mission cargo each time from the depot via the faction screen. Many people don't get this the first time.

What i mean by that is, that I didn't have as much time as I thought, and therefore wouldn't be able to fully complete the mission.
However after delivering about 50% of the goods you should be able to press Partial Complete at your destination. This however wasn't the case as the button for it was still greyed out even though I had in my eyes at least fulfilled the criteria for it.

I was doing the mission in parts as i couldn't fit all 3000+ tonnes in my hold.

And yes I was aware of the depot etc. Thanks

Doesn't it say "Partial complete" becuase you've only partially delivered the amount needed and therefore you still have however much time is left on the mission clock (usually you get 24 hours to complete).

No ive checked around, it should be possible to partially complete a wing mission, in case of lost good due to piracy/death

I thought the partial complete was just to offload say, 600/1800t, with the previso still being that you still gotta get 1800t total before mission timer runs out.

Or its hardend biowaste....

The depot only has the allotted quantity available necessary to complete the mission, likewise getting goods from the commodity market don't add to the mission completion gauge, hence said previso would render the mission impossible to complete after losing even 1 tonne of goods.

Hence the partial completion option, which apparently doesn't work, or has a hidden requirement i don't know of.

And also, if I understood your claim correctly, unloading less than the total quantity doesn't require you to press the partial completion button.

You would need to press “partial completion” each time you deliver some goods towards the grand total requirement, at the correct drop off point, before the mission timer runs out, all goods must be delivered.

Unless there has been a drastic change, correct me anyone if i am wrong, no probs.

I have been blowed the hell up carrying some unique mission cargo, and that was the end of the mission, my bad, i needed to git-gooder.

I have also had timed missions run out on me due to not playing, again, my bad, i have to realise RL>Elite. Ugh, now i feel dirty having made that last statement.
