Cannot Play in Open Mode

Hi

Just downloaded and played EDH for PS4.

When I choose to play Open Play, the game launches but I notice that when I go into the settings/pause menu, it states I am in Solo Play.

I have a PS+ account.

Anybody else experiencing this?

Most likely an old bug which has been there for a long time. I bet youre still in open play despite what the menu says.

You have to jump to either another system or supercruise from the starting outpost before Open is enabled.

I only play on PC, but here you can only switch to open after you've jumped to another system - have you tried that yet?

Hi Myrm, have you done a hyperspace jump yet? Please try jumping (default binding is Triangle button) to another system and then check the pause menu again.

Just curious why that's the case? Is it a bug or an anti-ganking measure?

I agree, it is stated in numerious threads that everyone starts in solo, and must jump to another system and or utilize supercruise before open will become available.
