Horizons Cannot reach target destination in passenger mission

I am vexxed.

I picked up a passenger mission at Momus Reach. Had to take passenger to CD-26 1339.

I can get to within 150 ly from the target but then it seems like all the stars just dry up. Every time I try to plot the next leg of my trip I get a "route planning failed" message.

Is this a bug or am I missing something? I'm in a Lakon Type 6 with a jump range of just over 21 ly. I'm currently stuck at SYNUEFE BW-M D7-0.

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Try plotting shorter hops, 100ly or so at a time, or even single jumps, where the star density is low the plotter struggles to plot long routes. You may still find it very tricky as 21ly is quite a low jump range for areas where the stars are sparse.

Had a quick look at the galaxy map - yeah it's a bit sparse down there. You might need to backtrack a little and find another way down / across.

Also check you don't have any route filters set in the galaxy map.

If you have an SRV & a DDS you could try looking for some FSD boost materials to get more jump range (look under synthesis in the right hand panel) - but make sure you have enough to get back.

It's not a bug - it's just the way the galaxy is.
