Cannot sell ship due to bounty

Hi

I've just docked at Jamieson Memorial, stored all my engineered modules and now I want to sell my ship in order to buy another one.

But, I can't sell my ship since apparently I have a bounty from somewhere - problem is, I don't know where from. How do I resolve this?

It also seems that my modules have a bounty against them (or at least, I think that is what the red scales of justice symbol means). With those modules now in storage, will that cause any issues?

Is this Odyssey, or Horizons? The two are treated differently.

Viktorenko Holdings in CD-33 8748 is the nearest station where you can clean your bounty. In horizons you'll have to go there in the hot ship. In Odyssey, you'll be able to go there in any ship, but if the faction you're wanted by is present in the system then they won't let you pay it at the IF and you'll have to use the administrative contact to pay it (if it's a fine) or hand yourself in (if it's a bounty) - or else just relog into horizons and use the IF normally.

[1] Left Panel > Transactions > scroll down to look at fines and bounties. Only shows for current ship AFAIK

[2] Right Panel > bottom left > Notoriety - If this is higher than 0 you cannot pay off fines or bounties - naughty CMDR! You lose 1 point of Notoriety every 2 hours play

As people have said - visit an IF where the faction in [1] is not present, as long as you are not a notorious criminal [2]

Worth understanding the C&P system - though from the look of the forums most don't bother :)

I know I sometimes get trigger happy during a massacre mission massacre and fire a few beams into the search and rescue ship who happens to be there which will get you a bounty. Could be that. Where do you "clean" modules btw?
