Cannot Sell Unused Mission Items At Bartender

I thought back when Odyssey was released you could sell mission items at the bartender.

I have a power regulator and a mutagenic catalyst that I can not sell, see below picture.

I can sell other illegale items, but I cannot sell these two.

Is the only way to get rid of them now is to drop them on a planet while I am on foot?

"Unused mission items" are stolen goods.

You can only sell those at a bartender in anarchy.

Wait.. I just re-looked. The issue is there's still an active mission for those items (the little blue globe next to them). You need to either complete it or abandon the mission first; you can't do it with a mission still active on them.

I have no open missions when I took the picture.

Sure, but that's not what that picture says.

Blue circle means there's an active mission against the items. Maybe it was a syncing issue, and the fact you'd cancelled or whatever hadn't caught up, or some other bug. I personally find that happens a lot in Odyssey.

But that screenshot is definitely showing the greyed items are related to a current, active mission, whether you actually had one or not.

no. It took me forever to learn that the carriers clean mission items, up to that point I'd been annoyed for a very long time and a lot of relogs about all the.... lost... power regulators cluttering my inventory :).
That cleans the stolen flag... but it shouldn't remove the mission status on them right? Since they only appears if there's an active mission?

That's the point. The mission tag remains after you fail a mission but get to keep the item. Cycling it through the carrier cleans that.
That's my point though... the mission tag shouldn't be there after failing a mission i.e that sounds like a bug (which would correlate with OPs comments so far).

Goods are tagged as "mission" until you abandon or fail the mission, then become "stolen", and the mission tag falls off. That was my (pre U17) experience with it... so sounds like a bug.

I can confirm this happens, my inventory has more blue than not.

This mission tag thing isn't new from U17. It's always been like that for me; the mission items stayed mission items when I failed a mission, but I cannot remember them ever being marked as "stolen".... although my memory is flaky there. But the remaining mission tag has been there since forever, if not day one.

Hmm. Maybe I'm mistaken then, but I'd still suggest that's a bug.
