Fiction canon books?

of all the books which ones are considered to be canon from the in-game story/lore standpoint? and in what chronological order too

Yes. That was a requisite of them becoming official fiction. They were checked by Frontier to ensure consistency with the game. This was also the reason why we wrote the sourcebooks to ensure consistency.

There are one or two elements which have changed. Micro-jumping for example is used in the Gollancz novels, which isn't the jump system in game.

This is a good update, Allen, thanks. Any chance you can update the OP in the stickied thread? Personally I wasn't aware there were officially sanctioned/approved/canon free-to-access stories.

I think it would be better to start a new thread as the OP has omitted titles from his list. I've requested that it be unstickied and something else be put up.

My mistake, I meant for you to update your post in reply to the OP, in the thread on chronology.

Drew's thread on guide to official fiction is a different matter, the OP itself needs an update.

And maybe the best result is to unsticky those two threads and start a new one, as you suggest.
