Canonn EDMC Plugin help?

I need some help and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. (Please go easy, this is my 1st post. It is exploration related but perhaps also would fit in the forum devoted to plugins/tools.)

I have the plugin installed and I am in the Synuefe NL-N c23-4 system. It informs me that "3 out of 28 biological signals on 1 body has been scanned. Please complete the survey. Species found so far: Roseum Brain Tree,Livens Brain Tree,Aureum Brain Tree" on the B 1 a body. Clicking that message in EDMC takes me to a Canonn page that lists 3 Biology locations have been identified and their numbers. How do I proceed and how do I scan the other locations? I am guessing that I should land at the unlisted sites (I'm at one "unscanned" site at the moment.) and drive to the marker but then what? How do I scan it? Do I need to join the Canonn group? Do I need to scan something, if so, how? I can gather materials and look at trees but am a bit stuck as to what needs to be done? After doing what needs to be done, do I need to dock at a station and sell cartographic data or is visiting the location alone enough?

I did search the forums for a Canonn Group thread but the link on the Canonn site takes me to an "Oops, forum..." error, presumably due to the forum upgrade. I'm not exactly new to the game but wanted to try helping with something instead of just flying round aimlessly. (I tried Guardian sites to obtain the FSD upgrade but that was too hard for me, apparently, even with the helpful thread with complete instructions. Shooting Thargoids is not my thing either, I like exploring and scanning. Besides, Thargoids never hurt me, yet.)

Thanks in advance, apologies if I posted in the wrong place and O7.

Find the planet, DSS it, then fly to all the bio signals on the surface and scan what's there with the Composition scanner on your ship.

Well, you probably should have posted this to Canonn. As far as I know, the plugin is by them, for them.

What I can answer though is that for biologicals and Codex-related stuff in general, you need to use your Composition Scanner (listed as "Comp. Scanner") on them. It's included on all ships and the SRV. Only then do Codex-related things get logged, both for the Codex and for the game log files, which third-party tools need to get the info.
