Can't buy/see collector limpet

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to this game, playing since a few weeks.
I just bought myself a cobra and wanted to mine a bit with it.
I bought the controller limpet but I can't see the collector limpet anywhere.

On my previous ships I could buy it. I had a Viper and an Adder I think.

Are there any requirements for that? Even when I empty all internet slots there's still no collector limpet visible.

going to test it out with another ship later..

Are you looking for the module? it might not be available in your station. If you are talking about the limpet itself though, munitions tab next to repair is where you get them.

Yes, I mean the module. Sorry if it wasn't clear enough.

I visited another station and even there the collector limpet module wasn't listed. But all the other limpets were there. I'll visit another station later. But I don't really understand the reason for this..

you bought the collector Limpet Controller (any class) and couldnt see it? when you wanted to re-buy it, nothing got listed in the outfitting/slots in your ship?

some pre-requisites are needed in order to make it (mining) work:
-a ship, no problem here ^^
-a Mining Laser. obgligatory.
-the Collector Limpet Controller (where you(r ship) can have multiple of those mounted. no need to sell your controllers in order to see them in the outfitting menu again.
-assign one (or more) controllers to a firegroup. you might prefer a Limpet+Mininglaser setup as (maybe the last) firegroup, so you can quickly switch to firegroup 1 in case someone disturbs you...
-cargo space! the LimpetController will launch limpet(s), taken out of your current storage. in a cobra, 32 tons filled with limpets will do just fine, so:
--Limpets. once you got some cargospace, goto Munitions, last entry, Limpets. buy as much as you can get. theyre not expensive.

as soon™ you spotted some good roids to collect, dont aim at a single chunk of minerals/metals, it will *EAT* the limpet when it returned with a chunk. instead, dont have anything targetted, and launch the limpet, it will go in "free" mode, collecting everything it can grab.

btw, some stations dont have certain sort of equipment, which sounds logical to me...

No, I couldn't buy the collector because I didn't see it in two stations. But I could buy a controller limpet and see the other limpets as well. Only the collector was missing.

Same rule applies to all stations, not everything is stocked (aside from Jamerson Memorial in Founders World). Just gotta keep looking. Don't know which area you are in but Diaguandri > Ray Gateway has some.

As an idiot's guide please say where the Repair and Munitions tabs are. On the Station Services? On the Modules tab on the right-hand panel in my ship?? No "Munitions" appears anywhere like that. Has it been changed?
