Hi all. while taking on missions I never can seem to finish but about 10% of them. The federal missions give me no locations to deliver the cargo, and I had one mission to deliver fish to the Gold Clan and just searched for them in the right system and never ran into them. I'm a older guy and played every incarnation of Elite. I know there is a learning curve but c'mon guys. I constantly hit up by different factions to give them my cargo instead. I'm just frustrated because the only money I can make is the occasional "Unknown signal" with cargo or wanted NPC. Any help would be great.

Newcomer / Intro Can't complete missions

HI ,
the Normal rep missions ie take x amount of fish to y station should always tell you were to drop it off , if its this faction need x amount of fish to give you a + rep then its the station you took the mission from
on the next mission you have a problem with it would be very helpful for you to take a screen pic , this way we can have a look and give you a better idea of what's happening to you
also as the post above has said they will also be showing up on your galaxy map as a Orange symbol for missions and a red one for secondly ships you own

Is this - by any chance - a mission where they want oyu to bring wares to the station you picked up the mission at? In that case you are free to get the wares wherever you like (go to the galaxymap filtering options to find a source) once you have the wares you can return to the station you got the mission at.
Once you except a mission from the BB (Bulletin Board)..... if you forget the details
go to your left hand Navigation Panel
tab across to the transaction tab
in that section are listed all outstanding missions as well as other info like bounties etc
highlight the mission you want and select
all details to complete the mission are shown, including time remaining..... (once the mission is complete ... it will even list the station to go to for collection of reward if applicable )
if the mission is updated ... it will show the updated or alternate mission... if you wish to take it
