Can't connect to franchise

Ever since the update on Thursday, I have been unable to connect to the franchise servers. It says I'm online on the home screen and shows me the community challenge. However, it says it cannot connect to franchise servers when I try to click through to my franchise.

If I click resume to immediately load my last game, it loads in on the pause menu and says 'you are offline'.

Has anyone encountered similar issues or know a fix?
 
Sounds crazy but what for me in some other games helped was, remove the router from power for 10 minutes and let them restart the internet.
It could be a small glitch with the portforwarding firewall settings.
 
Down again. Got an in-game message about it being down for maintenance. The main menu is just saying Error Connecting however.

No announcement in New / Announcements forum about maintenance ....
 
We're doing some maintenance at the moment, back up soon!
This issue is still present for me. Says I'm online but won't connect to franchise. If I go to challenge, it says I'm online, also says on top left of home screen, but still not working.

Really disappointing, I haven't played since Friday because I can't get it to work and I only want to continue my franchise.
