Even though some of those are considered combat ships, my goal was to get a Conda. I used every ship as a trade ship. The reasoning is this... If I wanted a good combat Cobra..The T6/Asp will allow me to afford that faster. Same logic for my Combat Python I have now. The T9 and Trade Conda made it much easier to save up the 159 million it took to outfit it. I trade to afford to fight. That's just me though.

The Asp is a better all rounder. It trades better than the T6 because it has a higher cargo capacity and jump range. It can also be turned into a combat ship if you like.
I would suggest you not use the T6 or the Asp to trade up to the Python. Depending on what you are going to use it for, it is a really expensive ship to equip. My Combat Python is sitting at 159 million invested, without armor.
If I were to do it again I would have worked on my Empire rep and got a Clipper.

Conda is overrated and over hyped. On PC i have gone against 8 conda's player controlled, with my maxed python. No competition. But its cool less ppl using python is a good thing. Already too many asp's out there. Wish we had more options. I don't like the, well we have an ASP so why make another ship like it. Variety is king. And sadly the planned ship roster just doesn't have much.
This is even more apparent if you baked star citizen. Which has multiple ships in each category. Though with recent news, SC's future is grim there goes my money.
Ive bin flying around since release in a Cobra, made some good money with pretty much all aspect in the game.
Now i want to upgrade more. My Cobra is maxed, and i will keep it since im in love with the lady.
Want to upgrade to a ASP, or a Vulture.
I am not specialized in one thing. I like to trade (ASP), i like to Explore (ASP), i like to do Board missions (Vulture), i like to Havoc RESsites (Vulture). But both Ships are good in all aspects..
So i need other PRO's and CON's to help me decide.
Any suggestions?
Get what ever ship is next up and have some fun with it. They are all different and you might get a pleasant surprise, rather than doing more of the same in the same ship. Maybe try out one the new Diamond Back ships? If you miss a ship, its unlikely that you will go back and try it for a long time.
My Conda is a trade Conda. And you wouldn't be able to hurt it with your Python.

Don't get me wrong. I love the Python as a combat ship. I fly one myself.

But they can't hurt a well outfitted Conda. The Conda can just leave the situation when it chooses.
Hmm python, better boost, python better turning speed. Seems you pay PC and you do vid. So we should link up your trade conda vs my combat python. Let the world decide
What I was trying to say is you couldn't take my shields down with your Python before I decided to leave with my Conda. A Combat Conda could do the same thing. If you are getting the better of him he could just leave. And with the superior jump range you likely couldn't follow.
All that aside I am down for your challenge. But like I said. I will just leave when I choose and seeing that your Python can't jump 19LY you wouldn't be able to follow me.
Didn't anyone like the Clipper? I thought it was a great all-rounder, probably more fun than my Anaconda, plus, of course it can outrun anything when need be.
Equipped with burst turrets with that monster field of fire, a hull reinforcement package for extra insurance and a couple of shield boosters, it did quite well for combat I thought...
I do agree I couldn't follow, and that if I could get your shields, then drive down fast enough than anyone can jump out. But if it was to the death. No jumping a combat python can take a combat conda. That's been my whole point. Everyone thinks the conda is king but its not..
And when the new lakon ship arrives and the new fed ship the conda again will be put in its place a good ship but not king
So I decided to try out the Federal Drop Ship. Man, it's like flying a big slow turd. Sold it back for my taxi hauler and will just keep raising the scratch in my vulture for the FDL. What a disappointment.
