This is a bit odd, but I can't delete a twitter account I made to ask one person one question real fast because it's how they communicate...
I ask the question and now It expects me to give a phone number to do anything. The problem is, and what is ing me off is, I can't gain access to any account settings to disengate any potential information gathering they might do. Couldn't even get the response from the person I was asking. From what I read they now do this to force phone numbers from all new users. I don't even use a phone to do this let alone I would never agree to give them this. This is account/information hijacking.
Do they do any information gathering outside of being logged in? This feature literally stops you from doing anything but look at a help section and logging out. None of which give access to account settings to get rid of the account. Is this even legal? If they are gathering data from people while trying to coerce phone numbers this is disgusting. As it stops you from disengaging them from doing so and illegally gives them access to your information without a way to stop it.
I even purposely used an email address instead of phone number because I would never give them my data like that. I don't even like them to start. But now I can't delete my account to get rid of them potentially.
And the fun thing is all things they mention to delete or alleviate this problem is stuff you can't access without giving a phone number. How do these sleeze balls not go to jail for this. How does anyone use this service. First time using their service and my blood is boiling already.
