Cant dock at carriers suddenly, did something happen or a system glitch perhaps?

Can you be more specific? What is the error message you get? What are you trying and what happens when you try?
Are your sensors turned on?
Are you in Solo or not?
Fleet carrier, or stronghold carrier, or system colonization ship?
Which carrier, specifically, where?

Yeah havent changed any settings or anything, fleet carriers, solo/private, various systems, it seems to be when I go now to whatever system that all the carriers are now greyed out suddenly for unknown reasons, where they were orange and accessible before, just thought that it was odd is all, this just started recently, guess I could try a system relog.......
Maybe, thats weird, probably just need to relog then, lol.....

Now thats weird, there are colonisation ships that do allow me to dock but not private carriers, lol.....
Still cant dock at any private carriers, they are all greyed out and I even got attacked after requesting to land even tho I showed no hostile actions of which I returned fire and destroyed the ships and got a wanted for defending myself. I can only dock at system carriers and colonisation ships and also cant seem to purchase an fc either...... I am not sure what the problem is, however I can select open play or private or solo and play without issues, so this is really weird and has been ongoing for quite some time now with no resolution???
A screenshot is just going to show exactly what I am describing, all private carriers that used to be available to land on are now all greyed out and if you attempt to dock with them, you are denied......
So purchase of a fleet carrier failure along with being denied to land on any private carrier, is this a ban then perhaps, although I have no idea why I would be banned other than being an American I guess??? lol, either that or this game is seriously broken and getting worse......
If it just says "denied" it's possible the owner changed docking rights. Additionally, if it's set to Squadron/Friends only, it will refuse squadron members. People are being very careful about who has access because commodities might be sold below cost, or are being loaded by Squadron/Friends only.
Without seeing what you're seeing, nobody here can really help you further on this.
Is the contact available in the Fleet Carrier system? Is the system in lockdown? You need to be more detailed with what "Can't seem to purchase a fleet carrier" means in this context. You are reporting something very strange that clearly my observations aren't identifying.
I have successfully docked on friends and my own personal carrier all week, so they work, even with the known bug regarding squadron permissions.
Also, bans don't work that way. Hah.

Okay, I can try and post a pic but I dont see how it will help as it doesnt offer any explanation that I can see, they all look the same, they are all greyed out on the list of carriers, all of them, not one is available to dock at?
The only carriers that I can dock at are the game system carriers and colonisation ships, no problems with them......
Yes the contact for the fleet carrier system is there and I can always buy and name, etc, but as soon as I select confirm then it goes into Fleet Carrier Purchase Failure and Connection Error......
Well if it aint a ban then this game is seriously broken......
We can't help you if you don't provide more information, especially in form of panel screenshots of the left hand nav menu with greyed out carriers and your right hand menu with status/notoriety.
Maybe we can make sense of this.

Here is a sample pic of what I am talking about the greyed out carriers but no info as to why, right now in the middle of literally nowhere......I can tell you, the notoriety is 0, combat is deadly, explorer is pathfinder, trade is explorer, other are nothing, fed rank is admiral, I am allied with feds, cordial with empire and friendly with alliance......

Looking at INARA, none of these carriers have docking permissions open. Noctus Nocturi allows squadron and friends only. One shows as "unknown" on Inara, but the other two show as no docking access. It's possible that you are just experiencing a long run of restricted-access carriers. When you click on a carrier in the nav panel, the information pane above the controls to lock destination, enable supercruise assist, etc states whether the carrier allows docking. A lot of people don't turn on docking permission. Only some carriers can be docked at.
Could be, thats just weird as it happened all of a sudden a short while ago and has been that way since.......I just looked up another carrier that I passed and it said allows notorious yes, however it was greyed out but another showed no and it was greyed out, doesnt yes to allows notorious mean that it allows other ships to dock?
