Newcomer / Intro Can't dock

Been out of town for a month or two out in the black. Thought I'd jump to a stn on the colonia hwy and cash out my data.
Now I've been at the stn before, no problems there on my end, only when I go to contacts for docking request (I'm with 5km of the stn) there's "No contacts in range".

Stn is part of the Colonia Council. It's status is "Booming but under terror attack". There's an independent orbiting elsewhere in the system that's not under such a threat.

Is the terror attack the reason for the inability to communicate with the stn?
How long does it last, if it's that?

Oh for Pete's sake, no. I'm an explorer. Sensors are my bread and butter.
The only thing that is off is the AFMU. It doesn't have to be on all the time. Even when it's on power is at 87% capacity.

Figured it out. Shut down system. Made dinner, loaded it back up (essentially a cold reboot). Problem solved.

Most explorers turn their sensors off until they need them. They aren't used in SC, which is where 95% of exploration happens.

Well, I'm definitely not "most explorers" then. Plenty of spare power in reserve to boot.
