Cant find my ship!

So before anything Horizons is amazing. Well done FD. Its so good to fly to Mercury, glide down and then muck around in a SRV at the space port.

At this point I get stuck :) I cant seem to remember where I put my ship and cant see anything obvious as to where the ship was docked. Anyone know how to locate your ship?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply. Tried that but don't have an option to do so.

I have activate turret and leave settlement ( 4,345 ) under the SRV tab an nothing pother than a description of my ship under the ship tab.

Go to the nav panel on the left

Ok. this is what I have? distances all seem to far. My ship should be very nearbye.

I lost my ship to..only option I have found so far is to leave the settlement (go past 5000 meters) and then you get an option to recall your ship .. it will literally auto land right next to you.

Thanks. Thats sounds like we are missing something or this is a bug but I will try this.

Exact same issue here. And with the server constantly big disconnected it melakes it a nightmare for me to locate my ship. Just going to drive away from the Base. Though when I was alone and far from anything my ship was a green arrow. I go to the green arrow and nothing there to indicate my ship is on the pad.

I had a similar problem.

Landed my ship on a pad. Jumped in to the SRV, came out of some kind of garage near my ship, but not actually from my ship. Drove around for a bit and then headed back to the base.

Couldn't find the garage for love nor money.

Drove out again and requested docking. Followed the marker, but it didn't lead me to the hangar. Eventually found it by trial and error (3 garages).

Needs some nav assistance.

Cheers,

Drew.

If it says you are within the settlement zone, you either have to request docking or leave the area THEN request your ship to land. But I can't seem to request docking anymore. My contacts tab is empty. :(

I also can't seem to refuel the SRV and if it turns out we can't refuel it all from the ship, then that will be the biggest bummer of all.

So glad it was not just me, I also lost my ship in a huge spaceport, I can't for the life of me find it!!

Think we'll need some help here Frontier! :)

This thread reminds me of that oft used phrase at southern California shopping malls : "Honey, where'd we leave the car?"
.
I actually use a phone app to record the GPS coordinates of my car so that I can find it after exiting the mall.

I ran into the same problem. I found my way back to the pad I landed my ship on and there was another ship docked there. I eventually self-destructed to get back in my ship. Not the most efficient approach.

What would be really nice is the ability to pull up a "you are here" spaceport map that shows where your ship is and even other ships on your contact list. Hopefully something like this is in the works for when we are able to go to markets and services within the port instead of just clicking on a menu.

thx. will try that.

I landed next to a base , no docking request was done.
there didn't seem to be the option for that.
but my ship was a green blip on the radar so no problem so I thought.
so I logged out , the next day no green blip on the radar and no ship in the vicinity of the base.

for a first experience with Horizons this is quite confusing.
I vaguely remember that your ship goes into an orbit but still I think its best if we have to order that our selves.
still not allot of reply s in these treads so it must be me.
but the mysterious is great :)

I landed in the middle of nowhere and drove off.
Once you go past a certain distance from your ship it disappears (flies off to a base?)
Well that base is 4.66Mm away and not in my contact list.
The nearest base is 74km, only a 45 minute drive, hopefully I can recall my ship there.

[Edit]Nevermind, pressing down is where the recall is.
Reading the manual is also something I normally don't do.

Look at the 'down-panel' (Interface Focus Down or whatever) and order your ship to come back to you. The ship is in orbit and will otherwise remain there.

Happened to me after scanning a planet and finding it landable. Lost ship after scavenging like mad, but there is no option to recall ship on the down menu. Just "SHIP" with a description and "SRV" next to it, with a couple of blanked out options.

Maybe I missed something in frantically driving around trying to find it....LOL....when its gone up into orbit, what a dunce !!
