Can't find my ship!

Okay, so finding a ship in space is a little harder than finding your car at the mall.

I bought a Viper, but realised I didn't have enough cash to outfit it properly. I swapped back to my eagle, did a few missions then came back to get it. Went to the shipyard but... no ship

I am not that much of an idiot - i thought I may have left it at a different station - but there is only one station in the system with a shipyard. Pretty positive this is the one I left it at. The "Ship Locations" has it 256 LS away, but that is too far or not far enough for the other stations AFAICS.

I see everyone else who had this problem seemed to have forgotten where they left it, but I can't see how it can actually be anywhere else in this system. Has someone hotwired it?

go to any shipyard and check under "ship locations" (3th tab) i'll tell you where it is, system wise, on the galactic and system map, there is a blue (with standard hud colors) icon next to the system and station you left it too

Hi, thanks for the advice. I was in the starsystem and the station where both maps said my ship was. But it still didn't appear in the shipyard, and under Ship Locations, it said it was 256LS away (in the same system).
I am not sure what the problem was, but when I reconnected today, my ship was there. Maybe it just got bored and took itself for a spin...

Yeah, this is definitely a bug. Am in the Kantissa system shipyard, and now the Galaxy map and Ship Locations claim my other eagle is here. It isn't, it is one system over.
I would upload the screenshots, but apparently I am over quota

Being 256LS away would suggest it was at a different station in the same system..?

It would, but there are no other shipyards in the system, never mind anything that specific distance away. The ship is actually in the next system over (I can go back and retrieve it fine, it just doesn't appear on any map, or the locations properly).

Seems like definitely a bug and not me being sleep deprived so I filed a ticket!

If anyone else loses their ship - check the obvious first (galaxy/system map, check you are at the right station), but ultimately there does seem to be a bug here.
