Can't find the Brian Blessed satnav voice pack

Seriously, though. Much needed is a method of placing waypoints on a planetary map. I can see a massive crater on a moon on the map but have to wander for ages in my SRV trying to find it. :S

Sorry if i don't understand the question right. But if you wanna get to a crater you see, then you fly to it in supercruise and then you glide all the way down to it... If you try to reach it with srv, then it will take a looooong time... Hours, days or weeks depending how big the planet is and what crater you wanna get to.... So if you see a cool crater on planet from space, then aim for it and land in it... Srv only good for short distances. So use your ship to get to points fast...
fly safe

that's a good point, well made. It appears that planets/moons etc are scaled full size so you could literally be trying to drive across America in an SRV lol

You can land anywhere on the planets, fly like a real pilot. That means do a fly by and take a reccy of the place you wish to land. Make a mental note of a good spot, fly up and out a little way and then turn and make your approach to the intended spot. I have landed inside canyons and craters by doing this method on the PC since Horizons was released.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I should have thought more about the scale of things. I don't mind a long road trip but days on a barren moon with no Brian to tell me, "Idiot! You've gone the wrong way!" wouldn't be much fun! Cheers :)

Thx bud. They are indeed full scaled... Just wait til you land on a planet 2-3 times bigger than Earth. Even some of the larger craters are like 500 km in diamater or more.... Will deffently take a long time. So Yep use ships to get there hehe:D fly safe Cmdr.
