Newcomer / Intro Cant find the Dolphin

I was wondering if anyone could help me, i'm relatively new to the game with only about 25-30 hours of in game time and i'm trying to locate a station that sells the Dolphin. I have visited 5 stations that EDDB says sells the ship however none of them actually do, one station showed updated within 2 days and still didn't have the ship. Does anyone know of a station that for sure has the Dolphin? EDDB hasn't been very friendly to me so far as the prices and trade loops haven't been accurate for me a single time thus far. Is there another site I might use? Any and all help is appreciated.

p.s. I really love the game so far!

Yep - if you don't have or are not running Horizons then you won't see the Dolphin offered in any shipyard.

Thank you all for the quick answers! That explains it though, I dont have Horizons just the base game. I thought the ship was included for the base game since I have seen the Orca... Im a little disappointed but oh well, guess I should have just got the Commander Delux Edition when I first bought the game lol

If that’s the case I highly recommend you get Horizons. It’s worth every penny.

Elite Dangerous is accused of being many things, bad value for money isn’t one of them though...

If you go check out the Xbox sub forum here you’ll see there’s currently a thread called 3000 hour club, the comments there should give you a good idea of how much gameplay people are squeezing out of this title...

Thank you for the info Para, I picked up Horizon yesterday though lol. I really enjoy the game and didn't see any reason not to pick it up. I was a little confused about the Commander pack, I saw somewhere it is included in Horizon but either way I just wanted the additional content. I thought it would require an additional download but once I activated the steam key i was able to access Horizon immediately. It took me a while to figure out how to activate the steam key though but figured it all out, I might make a quick guide with some screenshots on how to do it, all the steps I found were just text and a little hard to follow.

No worries. The Commander Deluxe Pack includes the base game, horizons and some repaints for three smaller ships - so that would not have suited you as you had the base game already. (One of my accounts was a gift from my GF of the Commander Deluxe pack.)

It's a fantastic small ship. I bought and kitted my first Python running Passenger Adventure Tours with mine. Fitted a First in the Class 5 and Business in a Class 4. Two passengers to the same first tourist spot/beacon and away you go :). Whatever you do I hope it's just as much fun. A class act...
