It's strange. It may be my lack of knowledge as to how these things work, but why is it that it's down for some people and not others?
Why is it that sometimes, I jump to a different system and the missions are working?
Why is it, that sometimes, they just suddenly come back on line? And then go back off again?
Is someone in the computer tape room shuffling the punched cards?
It's quite often like this because there are many 'servers' trying to serve our tasks in game. They all have special roles, some takes care of the market, some with the BGS, some deal with how you meet other commanders etc. They all run in different regions of Amazon datacenters, all over the world.
The load they are under is constantly shifting, some minor bugs/issues creep in over time. Then some of these servers start performing their duty in a bad manner.
Some of you have different Internet Providers, some good with IPv4, some are good with IPv6 as well. This plays a role when your game talks to the servers.
It's spanning the globe, you'll get a bit of the total sum of complexity, acting as different kind of misbehavior from these serving fellas. At different times.
Troubleshooting these issues is a complex thing quite often, it's not just a "single misbehaving server in UK". Thats why FDev needs to investigate and uses a bit longer to figure out whats going on.
I vote for more biscuits to the troubleshooting team, they have plenty of work ahead of them.
