Cant install Saitek x45 drivers, anyone got them working recently

I'm using Win 10, wit the Saitek_X45_Flight_Controller_SD6_64_Drivers from there website.

Run setup and it says 'please plug in the controllers you want to update' and next is greyed out. I have tried unplugging/plugging in USB. Tried running setuo with it plugged in and with it unplugged and plugging it in.

Ive also tried Device Manager/Driver Update for the two directories, 053C & 2541.

Nothing works.

It was long ago I used mine, but I can't recall having installation problems. Sorry to not be more help :(

Hi,

Is the joystick seen when you plug it in before you attempt to run the driver package?

The support page in my X-45 software says I'm using software version 7.0.27.13 and driver version 6.0.41 (in 64 bit Windows 10) and everything works fine. (The software has Mad Catz rather than Saitek logos btw).

Hi,

Just plug the stick in then go to the control panel, hardware and sound, devices and printers.

The stick should be seen in there, if it is not then there could be a problem with the stick or the USB port.

If so try another port, it is also possible that the stick requires to much power from the USB port and you may need to use a powered USB hub.

Is this a new stick as it is an older stick for Windows XP?

Was because my windows was out of date, anyway worked on my laptop. Was just testing it for resale as I have a Thrustmaster T 1600 now..
