Newcomer / Intro cant locate the bindings file in windows 8.1

hi guys

looked in
C:\Users\((YourWindowsUsernameHere))\AppData\Local \Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings

BUT THERE IS NO APPDATA file
any ideas
I can play the game ok but I cant back up my custom controls
and I keep losing them
any ideas

The AppData folder is hidden by default. Go to Users\Yourname, click in the address field above and add \AppData
Then you find the file at the address you wrote.

you just need to make hidden files visible

control panel

type in search box "hidden"... without the quote marks (")... one of the results will be hidden files... select that

and select the option to "show hidden files"
