Newcomer / Intro Can't recharge my suit at a charge point

I've just been a bad boy and broken in to a settlement's power building, having also thoroughly annoyed the locals by murdering most of them.

I find I can't use my energy link tool thingy to recharge my suit. Is that because the system has taken umbrage, or is there something else I should be doing? I have selected the correct mode for the tool and the power is on in the settlement. But still the green dot does come on, to show a good link; it stays red.

Any advice, please?

If the power is offline, you won't be able to charge from the outlets. You note the power is still on.

Is this for all charging ports?

At least two of them. But it's going to be hard to reproduce it now because some idiot went and knocked on my IRL front door, and the distraction got me killed. Now I know how Bilbo Baggins felt, with the 'endless procession of visitors hanging on the doorbell...' ;)

I'll just have to go and be naughty again once my notoriety has died down... ;)
