Can't see material listings on Planets anymore

Hi,

I have always been able to see material listings on planets but now i can't for some reason. Does anyone know why this has happened? Thanks in advance!

No i am definitely on the horizons version.I have even done full detailed scans of many planets and still there are no material listings, not even how much 'G' or gravity there is on each planet. I'm very confused.

Do you have an Advanced Discovery Scanner or the stock one (Basic Discovery Scanner)? That might be your problem as the stock discovery scanner does not scan for minerals and other statistics but will still say you've obtained a "detailed scan".

Neither does the ADS. You need a Detailed Surface Scanner to reveal the materials makeup of a planet.

What you need is Detailed Surface Scanner for the list of planet materials.

The Detailed Surface Scanner is not required if the star system you are visiting has already been Explored. Any star system with over a million people in it is considered "Explored", and the data for every planet and moon (including materials composition) is pre-loaded into your ship's memory. In Unexplored systems, you have to obtain the data yourself, either by purchasing system map data from a nearby star system or by scanning the planets in the system yourself with a DSS installed.

I tend to believe this ^^ is the case. I never fly with a DSS because I'm not exploring now. I typically fly around in the bubble and have always been able to see material lists for any planet I can land on. I always carry a ADS on my ships but I don't know if that has anything to do with seeing those lists. but I could be wrong
